The route, step by step

  1. Start here

    Python — Beginner

    Beginner · 8 weeks · 48 training hours

Programming fundamentals in Python, from zero.

    Portfolio Project: Shop sales tracker

How it is checked: Portfolio project output: Working tested software application with source code and technical README. Completion is subject to the course-specific proposed policy below; practical evidence is mandatory. Rubric focus: Code quality, security, testing and demonstration. Institute certificate only; external/vendor certification separate. Independent final check: The supplied file and script run verbatim: the valid pen row contributes 30, the invalid quantity is reported, and missing headers are diagnosed. Proposed completion: 70% overall and 70% in the portfolio practical; critical accuracy, permission and privacy failures require correction and observed reassessment. This policy needs academic approval before use for awards.

  2. Then

    Frontend Development with AI

    Intermediate · 12 weeks · 144 training hours

Responsive, accessible web interfaces with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Portfolio Project: Local services finder: an accessible, tested and deployed React app

How it is checked: Portfolio project output: Working tested software application with source code and technical README. Suggested passing criteria: 70% suggested (60% for entry foundation / short interventions); practical evidence mandatory. Rubric focus: Code quality, security, testing and demonstration. Institute certificate only; external/vendor certification separate.

  3. Then

    Python Full Stack + GenAI

    Advanced · 24 weeks · 312 training hours

One coherent back-end stack, databases, APIs and a GenAI feature in a portfolio application.

Portfolio Project: Learner support application with a grounded assistant

How it is checked: Portfolio project output: Working tested software application with source code and technical README. Completion is subject to the course-specific proposed policy below; practical evidence is mandatory. Rubric focus: Code quality, security, testing and demonstration. Institute certificate only; external/vendor certification separate. Independent final check: Learner changes an unseen requirement, passes cross-user tests and demonstrates grounded answers plus unsupported-question fallback. Proposed completion: 70% overall and 70% in the portfolio practical; critical accuracy, permission and privacy failures require correction and observed reassessment. This policy needs academic approval before use for awards.

  4. Optional

Software Job Readiness & Interview Training

    Intermediate · 12 weeks · 144 training hours

Interview preparation and job-search practice once you have projects to show.

Portfolio Project: Reviewed software portfolio and interview readiness pack

How it is checked: Portfolio project output: Reviewed software portfolio, six mock interviews and interview tracker. Completion is subject to the course-specific proposed policy below; practical evidence is mandatory. Rubric focus: Code review + job-readiness rubric. Institute certificate only; external/vendor certification separate. Independent final check: The query returns two separate Ravi customers and Anu with zero spend; the portfolio contains three reviewed PRs and six scored mock records. Proposed completion: 70% overall and 70% in the portfolio practical; critical accuracy, permission and privacy failures require correction and observed reassessment. This policy needs academic approval before use for awards.
